The de Havilland DH.104 dove was a British made monoplane that was utilized as a short haul airliner and was the successor to the bi-plane, de Havilland Dragon Rapide. the Dove was one of Britains most successful post war civil designs. The Dove was developed to provide short haul "feeder" lines to major airlines. Overall production of the Dove consisted of 388 civilian, 127 Military and 13 variants for the navy. The Dove first flew on September 25, 1945. Numerous versions of the Dove were developed to meet the particular needs of the user.
Many countries around the world utilized the Dove for miltary operations, such as argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Ireland, Jordan, New Zealand, and many others.

Models by Derek Palmer.
This is a fantastic freeware model! Everything about it is exceptional! From the unique aircraft design and the job the developers did in modeling it, to the outstanding panel with its various pop up panels. The 2D panel is quite authentic looking has has numerous functions that are available to use while flying. I especially like the looks of this aircraft, being a vintage model, it has that classic look to it, and I really like the way the pilots canopy is set up, as though it were a fighter aircraft, needing loads of visability! there are about ten liveries to chose from, spanning the countries and companies that used the Dove. All control surface work nicely and the sounds that accompany them are great too! The pilot is seen sitting in the cockpit, and is animated. I think you will enjoy this model immensely! Nice work gang!
